Position Overview: Account Executive

The ideal Account Executive will proactively network, cold call, and sell to multiple contacts within organizations, including 'C' level executives. This role involves managing and developing customer relationships through a consultative sales approach, ensuring high-level account management services. The Account Executive should understand client goals, concerns, and the available technological solutions to meet their challenges. This position is remote/virtual, with regional travel required.

Role and Responsibilities:
  1. Consistently meet sales and profitability goals.
  2. Configure, position, and quote product and service solutions to clients.
  3. Participate in industry organizations such as ISSA, ISACA, OWASP, etc.
  4. Manage leads and opportunities using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  5. Report sales forecasts and opportunity funnels accurately and consistently.
  6. Create, edit, and close service proposals.
  7. Work with GuidePoint Security vendors to understand and position their technologies and value propositions.
  8. Participate in field marketing activities to generate interest and inform the client community, including driving attendance to events.
  9. Represent GuidePoint Consultants to clients and articulate our areas of expertise.
  10. Set proper expectations and maintain open communication throughout the sales process.
  11. Leverage supporting resources effectively, fostering teamwork and cooperation.
  12. Develop and deliver professional sales presentations to large groups and executive clients.
Position Requirements:
  1. Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience in the IT space, preferably in Information Security.
  2. Experience in the enterprise security space is preferred.
  3. Strong, established relationships with key accounts in the territory are required.
  4. Experience with Salesforce.com is necessary.
  5. Excellent group presentation skills are essential.
  6. Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and generating leads.
  7. Ability to generate leads and open new accounts.
  8. Experience selling professional services, security audits, and assessments is a plus.
  9. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  10. Network security vendor-related certifications are strongly preferred.
