Job summary

Nexstar Media in Tyler, TX is seeking a Sales Account Executive to generate advertising revenue by calling on agencies and new prospects, presenting the merits of television advertising, and building credible relationships with local businesses.

You will manage assigned accounts, develop new opportunities, deliver compelling sales presentations, explain rates, and coordinate with station staff to place ads, with a focus on achieving long-range revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Minimum one year's experience in sales, preferably in the media field.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them.
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.

• Works with clients and station personnel to develop advertisements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
