What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Present retirement plan and flexible spending account products to key decision-makers and end users to close new sales
- Schedule appointments and visit potential referral sources, particularly within the financial advisor community
- Prospect for new clients through various methods, including phone calls, direct mail, and seminars
- Analyze prospects’ needs to recommend appropriate products and ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Complete new business paperwork and enter sales data into Salesforce.com for efficient client service
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma required
- Less than 1 year of relevant experience with successful completion of training programs
- 2 years of experience in sales or sales management
- Ability to project a positive image and represent the employer to clients and the community
- Willingness to travel outside of geographical territory for conferences and training sessions
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the retirement plan industry or related sales experience
- Strong understanding of technical and competitive sales skills
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems
- Proven track record of successful lead generation and closing sales
- Certification or training related to retirement plans or financial services
