Established in 2021, Independence Pet Holdings is a corporate holding company managing a diverse portfolio of modern pet health brands and services across North America, including insurance, pet education, and lost recovery services.

PetPlace, a subsidiary of IPH, is building a digital pet e-commerce platform to connect services such as adoption, lost pet recovery, and insurance, making pet care easier.

Job Summary

The Account Executive - Retention focuses on driving customer retention and growth within existing accounts while achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate manages client relationships, identifies upselling opportunities, and ensures long-term satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with existing clients to exceed expectations.
  • Drive retention and meet sales targets through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Create and implement sales strategies and client presentations.
  • Negotiate contract renewals to maintain relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor KPIs to assess account health and identify improvements.
  • Provide exceptional customer support.
  • Track and report account activities using CRM software.
  • Stay updated on market trends and competitors.
  • Maintain knowledge of company products and services.
  • Travel to industry conferences and client locations as needed.
Requirements
  • Four years of experience in veterinary clinics, animal welfare, sales, or related fields.
  • Associate’s degree in veterinary technology, animal health, or equivalent work experience.
  • Up to 50% travel required.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to manage high call volumes, and prioritize tasks.
