As we continue to grow, we're looking for a high-performing Account Executive to join our sales team and help us expand our footprint in one of the nation’s most dynamic construction markets.

Position Overview:

The Account Executive – Houston will play a key role in driving new business, strengthening current client relationships, growing existing business and contributing to the overall growth of SpecTex Solutions. This is a hands-on, field-based sales position ideal for a motivated self-starter with strong industry knowledge and a passion for helping clients succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new sales opportunities in the Houston market at the wholesale level.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project managers and key decisions makers at plumbing and mechanical contractors.
  • Conduct regular site visits and client meetings to assess needs and propose value-driven solutions
  • Prepare and present accurate bids, quotes, and sales proposals tailored to project requirements
  • Negotiate pricing and close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and provide timely reporting on pipeline and performance
  • Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and project support
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitors, and local market developments

Qualifications:

  • B2B sales experience in construction materials, equipment, or a related sales experience
  • Basic understanding of the Houston construction landscape and key players
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-driven, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in the field
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial distribution, sales , or a related discipline
  • Ability to network in the Houston construction industry and make cold calls when necessary
  • Experience with technical product sales or project-based sales cycles
