Overview

Are you looking for a rewarding career as an account executive? If so, we invite you to join our team at Amedisys, one of the largest and most trusted home health and hospice companies in the U.S. The ideal candidate will have experience in outside sales/business development in the healthcare industry, with a background in cold calling customers in pharmaceuticals, medical device sales, hospital, home health, hospice, or long-term care.

Compensation and Territory

Attractive pay: $75,000-$85,000

Territory: Williamsburg

Responsibilities

  • Educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families about home care services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources such as hospitals, nursing homes, and physician offices to generate leads.
  • Coordinate patient admissions, including obtaining documentation for referrals and admissions.
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess patient needs and identify barriers to care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and referrals.
  • Achieve admissions, product, and payor-mix goals.
  • Meet short and long-term account goals.
  • Document sales calls daily in CRM, including pre- and post-call notes.
  • Keep an up-to-date record of targeted referral sources in CRM.
  • Attend community events to promote Amedisys.
  • Respond promptly to customer complaints.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in healthcare-related business development or outreach. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and liability insurance.

This role involves travel of 50% or more within the assigned territory.
