Job summary

BDG is building an outbound sales motion and is seeking an Account Executive, Growth Sales to be among the first reps to scale this function. You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing across BDG's portfolio, with guidance from leadership to identify new advertiser categories and refine playbooks.

The role emphasizes high-volume outreach, performance against activity benchmarks, and evolving into a senior AE as the outbound program matures.

Qualifications

• Direct quota-carrying sales experience is not required if you're ready to jump into a full sales seat.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Build and manage a high-volume outbound pipeline to generate net-new business across the BDG portfolio.
• Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and outreach through pitching, closing, and managing the business you bring in.
• Identify untapped categories and advertisers across verticals representing new revenue opportunities for BDG.
• Hit weekly and monthly activity benchmarks in addition to revenue targets.
• Partner with sales leadership to shape outbound targeting, messaging, and sequencing for scaling the function.
• Use AI tools to build prospecting lists, draft outbound sequences, and create pitch materials.
• Develop knowledge of BDG's brand portfolio to pitch effectively across categories.
• Track and report on pipeline and forecasted revenue using the CRM.

BDG is building out a true outbound sales motion, and the Account Executive, Growth Sales will be one of the first reps on the ground floor of it. This role is built for someone with 1-2 years in media or advertising — whether already in a sales seat or in a sales-adjacent role like account management — who's ready to prove they can generate their own pipeline and grow into a senior AE role at BDG.

This is not an SDR role. The Account Executive, Growth Sales will own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and outreach through pitching, closing, and managing the business they bring in — across the full BDG portfolio. You'll work closely with sales leadership to identify net-new categories and advertisers that haven't yet partnered with BDG, and help define the playbook other reps will follow as the outbound function scales.

Key Accountabilities

• Build and manage a high-volume outbound pipeline (cold email, LinkedIn, and other digital outreach) to generate net-new business across the full BDG portfolio.
• Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, lead qualification, pitching, negotiating, and closing — with support from sales leadership rather than a dedicated SDR.
• Identify untapped categories and advertisers across verticals that represent new revenue opportunity for BDG.
• Hit weekly and monthly activity benchmarks (outreach sent, meetings booked) in addition to revenue targets.
• Partner with sales leadership to build and refine outbound targeting, messaging, and sequencing — helping shape the playbook for a function that's still being built.
• Use AI tools (Claude, Apollo, and similar) to build prospecting lists, draft outbound sequences, and create pitch materials efficiently — and help figure out where else AI can speed up the sales process as the function scales.
• Develop a working knowledge of BDG's full brand portfolio and digital, social, video, and experiential solutions to pitch effectively across categories.
• Track and report on pipeline, activity, and forecasted revenue using the team's CRM.

Candidate Profile

• 1-2 years of experience in media and/or advertising, in a sales role or a sales-adjacent role such as account management — direct quota-carrying sales experience is not required if you're ready to make the jump into a full sales seat.
• Genuinely excited about outbound prospecting — comfortable with high-volume outreach and undeterred by rejection.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to build something from the ground up — comfortable with ambiguity and solutions-forward rather than waiting for a fully defined process.
• AI-forward: professionally familiar with Claude or a similar AI tool, quick to pick up new sales tech like Apollo, and comfortable using AI to help build prospecting lists, outreach, and pitch materials.
• Coachable and eager to learn the media landscape, with a clear ambition to grow into a senior sales role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable pitching to new contacts with little to no warm introduction.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the discipline to manage a self-sourced pipeline and follow through consistently.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote, and CRM/sales tools (Salesforce, Apollo, or similar).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
