Account Executive – The Vomela Companies

The Vomela Companies has an exciting opportunity for a driven and high-energy Account Executive to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will leverage your established relationships in the retail sector while actively prospecting new clients with a hunter mentality. You’ll combine direct sales, marketing, and account management to provide comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs.

The Vomela Companies is a full-service, specialty graphics provider comprised of printing specialists across North America. A St. Paul, Minnesota company since 1947, what began as a small die-cutting business has grown to a nationwide visual communications powerhouse – offering services from design, prototyping, project management, production, fabricating, installation, and kitting and packaging.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Development: Develop and manage a personal business plan to meet or exceed revenue and profit goals.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Build, establish, and nurture client relationships to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  3. Prospecting: Actively identify and generate new leads, leveraging industry knowledge and insights.
  4. Solution Selling: Identify client needs and create tailored marketing and printing solutions.
  5. Project Management: Work alongside Client Service Project Managers to oversee key aspects of account coordination, ensuring seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  6. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure flawless execution of projects.
  7. Account Growth: Maintain and grow your established relationships while adhering to any existing non-compete agreements.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Proven Sales Experience: 3+ years in outside sales, preferably in print, large format, or visual merchandising industries.
  2. Established Relationships: Demonstrated ability to leverage existing relationships in the retail sector; an existing book of business is preferred.
  3. Hunter Mentality: A relentless drive to develop new business and exceed sales targets.
  4. Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  5. Problem-Solver: Confidence in presenting creative and effective solutions to client challenges.
  6. Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using CRM tools and managing sales pipelines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or related field.
  2. Knowledge of the design, production, and distribution of retail décor, signage, and structural design.
  3. Experience in working under a commission-based compensation structure.
