Account Executive

Brightsmith are working with a global leader in electric mobility and energy solutions who are dedicated to advancing intelligent charging technologies across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific supporting thousands of charging and fleet facilities.

They are searching for a high-performing Account Executive to expand their footprint within the public transportation sector across the U.S & Canada. This role focuses on the growth of their smart charging software platform, targeting transit agencies and related fleet operators. The ideal candidate is experienced in long-cycle sales, public procurement processes and driving strategic deals in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive sales of a fleet-focused EV charging software platform within the public transit market
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with public agencies and fleet operators
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle: from early engagement and positioning through RFP responses and contract negotiations
  • Support partner-driven sales motions and co-develop proposals in collaboration with external stakeholders
  • Coordinate post-sale handoff to internal implementation and customer success teams
  • Identify and expand into adjacent verticals such as university fleets, corporate shuttle operators, and long-distance transport

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in public transit, EV infrastructure, fleet management, or public-sector transportation sales.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements and manage public sector RFP/RFQ processes.
  • Experience building strategic partnerships across a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for accelerating the transition to zero-emission transportation
