Job summary

Protector Plans in Tampa, FL is seeking an Account Executive to perform sales and technical functions for retention and cross-selling of professional liability and related coverages. The role includes securing underwriting information, reviewing quotes, and binding coverage upon insured request.

Responsibilities include renewal applications, communicating with carriers, preparing proposals, and maintaining strong carrier and client relationships to grow revenue.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Typing speed 40 wpm.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Applied Epic.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a renewal book of professional liability and miscellaneous coverage for Podiatrists and other Physicians.
  • Initiate renewal applications for appropriate carriers for insureds.
  • Review applications submitted for renewals and process to appropriate carriers.
  • Secure underwriting information and coordinate with carrier for quotes, binding coverage and handling all aspects of customer service on bound business.
  • Present proposal to insured via e-mail or fax and follow up to seek bind order on account.
  • Process through to carrier all correspondence requesting changes, cancellations, requests for binders, and certificates.
  • Create and process Finance Contracts for accounts requiring premium financing.
  • Establish and build carrier and customer relationships via phone/written correspondence.
  • Assist with development and acquisition of new business revenue from new and existing clients and provide high level of client service.
  • Manage client relationships to grow the book of existing accounts, providing insurance solutions.
  • Represent organization at industry trade shows and events, including exhibiting.
  • Research client inquiries using internal/external systems and prepare real-time responses.
  • Prepare marketing strategy information and market the account to insurance carriers.

Protector Plans is seeking an Account Executive to join our growing team in Tampa, FL. The Account Executive will perform sales and technical functions for retention and cross-selling of Podiatrist professional liability, cyber liability and miscellaneous professionals. This includes reviewing account submissions and securing underwriting information, reviewing underwriter quotes, preparing proposals, and requesting binding through underwriter upon receipt of written request from insured.

How You Will Contribute:

Licenses & Certifications:

State of Florida License (2-20 P&C) required.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent is required; Prefer a college degree.
  • Skill and ability to type 40 wpm.
  • Operate office equipment and a PC, use computer software to include, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Applied Epic.
  • Knowledge of good business practices and office procedures.
  • Ability to exercise prudent judgment in adhering to business and personnel guidelines.
  • Ability to be a passenger on a plane, drive a motor vehicle, rent a motor vehicle, and maintain a good driving record.
