The Account Executive is essential to the sales and revenue process through the management of client relationships, programs, and accounts. This role works closely with the Experience + Design and Operations teams to support the full lifecycle of each program.
The Account Executive leads opportunities from initial RFP through post-event follow-up, with a focus on revenue, reporting, client alignment, and long-term account growth. They develop strong working relationships with clients and partners to support repeat business and lasting partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Championing Client Relationships:
- Build and nurture meaningful client partnerships by serving as the primary advocate throughout the full lifecycle, from lead qualification through post-event follow-up.
- Translate client objectives into tailored program strategies.
- Maintain accurate CRM and account data.
- Use structured client feedback to strengthen retention and improve future program design.
- Communicate clearly and proactively throughout the sales and program lifecycle.
- Ensure clients feel supported, understood, and confident in the partnership.
Advancing Strategic Sales Performance:
- Drive revenue by prioritizing high-value opportunities, contributing to sales strategy, and aligning efforts with leadership priorities.
- Build trust-based relationships with clients, hotels, CVBs, and strategic partners.
- Identify value-add opportunities that meaningfully enhance client programs.
- Maintain disciplined forecasting and pipeline management.
- Apply strong judgment and market awareness to sales opportunities.
- Identify creative opportunities for long-term growth and community impact.
Shaping Exceptional Program Experiences
- Ensure every program is thoughtfully designed, financially sound, and exceptionally executed from proposal development through on-site delivery.
- Partner closely with the Experience + Design Manager and Operations teams.
- Translate client insights and objectives into clear creative direction.
- Support proposal development and program strategy.
- Solve challenges with professionalism, creativity, and resourcefulness.
- Apply learnings from each event to continuously improve future programs.
Financial Stewardship + Data Management
- Establish clear budget expectations and align scope with value to ensure programs remain both creative and financially viable.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and sales reports.
- Follow established financial and contracting processes.
- Monitor program scope, budget expectations, and financial performance.
- Support transparent communication and reliable planning.
- Maintain responsible data and budget management practices that support sustainable growth.
Elevating Industry Presence + Influence
Represent ETHOS and the destination with credibility across the meetings and events industry.
- Participate in industry events, FAMs, site inspections, sales missions, and partner engagements.
- Build strong relationships with vendors, hotels, CVBs, and industry partners.
- Stay informed on market trends, destination developments, and emerging opportunities.
- Bring relevant insights and ideas back to the broader ETHOS team.
- Maintain flexibility for travel and scheduling based on client, industry, and program needs.
- Help strengthen ETHOS’s visibility, reputation, and presence within the marketplace.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalentexperience
Five or more years of total work experiencewith a minimum of 5 years of sales or operational experience in hospitality,
event services, or related field
