Job Summary:
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for generating and driving annual revenue goals through strategic prospecting and networking within the commercial furniture industry. You will help identify client needs, curate tailored solutions, and facilitate the project vision. The Account Executive ensures client satisfaction throughout the full sales cycle – from initial contact to final walkthrough while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. You are an integral part of our client-facing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and networking. Successfully convert prospects into clients to secure consistent, incremental business growth.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients while managing their expectations throughout the full sales cycle to ensure a positive experience.
- Cross-Sectional Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal and/or client-hired design, project management, and installation teams, offering proactive support to ensure smooth execution and on-time delivery.
- Detail-Orientation: Maintain strong organization and attention to detail across the entirety of the sales cycle carefully reviewing quotes and product specifications.
- Time Management: Balance time effectively to oversee multiple sales cycles and project deadlines, prioritizing key milestones to ensure complete client satisfaction.
- Adaptability: Maintain continuous flexibility to anticipate upcoming project challenges, smoothly adjusting strategies to accommodate changing client needs.
- Problem Solving: Proactively seek optimal solutions while maintaining high professional standards when collaborating across diverse teams, clients, and perspectives.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Highly motivated and driven to succeed with a strong work ethic.
- Possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills throughout all levels of an organization.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and office equipment (i.e. printer).
- Flexibility to work varied full-time hours including nights and weekends based on client needs/project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of direct sales experience or a sales-driven related position.
- Knowledge of commercial office furniture brands, workplace design principles, and space planning methodologies.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer and using the telephone in an office environment.
- Ability to travel to various client settings (i.e. indoor, outdoor) throughout the island and at times, inter-island.
- Ability to safely navigate active project sites and installation environments as needed, maintaining awareness of hazards and following safety protocols.
- Often required to stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch while using basic measuring equipment. At times, may need to reach and climb.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 25-50 lbs. at a time.
