Job summary

WorkSpace Interiors is seeking an Account Manager to deliver exceptional service to major accounts, from concept through installation. You will develop creative furniture solutions, present plans, and ensure project success while meeting sales and profit goals.

Responsibilities include managing client relationships, performing site measurements, producing AutoCAD drawings, and coordinating with installation teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years in furniture/office/space planning (dealer or manufacturer preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Serve as primary contact for select major accounts and manage relationships.
  • Develop furniture solutions, present concepts, and oversee finishes.
  • Produce technical drawings and specifications, including site measurements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, installation crews, and contractors.
  • Maintain CRM and project records; ensure on-time delivery and budgets.

Job Purpose

To provide excellent service to select major accounts by managing all aspects of client relationships and project execution. This includes developing and presenting creative furniture solutions, producing technical drawings and specifications, meeting sales and profit goals, and ensuring customer objectives are met from initial concept through installation.

Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship & Account Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for select major accounts
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and end users
  • Meet or exceed annual sales and profit goals
  • Conduct regular reviews and action plans to identify growth opportunities and ensure customer needs are met
  • Maintain understanding of key purchasing contracts and customer standards
  • Provide educational and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and loyalty
Design & Technical Execution
  • Develop creative furniture solutions that meet project needs and customer objectives
  • Attend customer meetings to present furniture concepts, space plans, and finish selections for approval
  • Host live design sessions to engage the client by taking their immediate feedback to refine solutions
  • Produce technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and CET, including block plans, working drawings, and as-builts
  • Conduct site reviews, field measurements, and programming interviews with end users
  • Validate plans against construction and A&D drawing sets
  • Develop product specifications, manage revisions, and maintain project documentation
Project & Installation Coordination
  • Coordinate with project managers, installation crews, and contractors to ensure successful execution
  • Conduct walkthroughs and ensure final punch items are resolved
  • Ensure warranty issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Manage project budgets and timelines
  • Maintain CRM and project records according to company protocol
Professional Development
  • Stay current on industry trends, new product offerings, and best practices
  • Research and monitor competitors to identify strategic opportunities
  • Embrace new technologies and follow established company processes
Required Skills & Knowledge
Technical Proficiency
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • General Computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with CET is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to learn different as well as new and emerging technologies
  • Experience with Hedberg is a plus
Design & Product Knowledge
  • Solid knowledge of best practices for furniture design and space planning
  • Strong furniture product knowledge with ability to learn and apply new products quickly

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture Or equivalent related field experience.

Experience: 2+ years in furniture/office/space planning (dealership or manufacturer experience preferred).

Physical Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to walk moderate distances, climb stairs, and navigate unfinished building environments during site visits
