Job summary

The Trade Desk in Chicago seeks an experienced sales professional to acquire, build, and cultivate relationships with Independent Agencies in the Central Region. You will conduct meetings with agency decision-makers, demonstrate our platform, respond to RFPs, and drive revenue growth.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 2–4+ years of outbound sales, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to travel 1–2 times per month.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years of outbound sales experience.
  • Relationships with advertising agencies and decision-makers helpful.
  • Strong negotiation and quantitative skills.
  • Self-starter able to tackle new clients with little mentorship.
  • Agile learner able to grasp new technology and product changes.
  • Willingness to travel 1-2x per month including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire, build, and cultivate relationships with Independent Agencies in the Central Region.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with ad agency decision-makers in programmatic, planning and strategy organizations.
  • Demonstrate the value of our media buying platform with detailed product demonstrations.
  • Respond to RFPs and prepare customized proposals to win new business.
  • Grow current accounts by identifying and closing up-sell opportunities by understanding client needs.
  • Collaborate with product, trading, and account management teams to win and grow accounts.
  • Hit monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

What you'll do:
  • Acquire, build, and cultivate relationships with Independent Agencies in the Central Region
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with ad agency decision-makers in programmatic, planning and strategy organizations
  • Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Communicate the value of our media buying platform by walking through detailed demonstrations of the product
  • Execute on a strategic plan to achieve revenue goals
  • Hit monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Respond to RFPs and prepare customized proposals to win new business
  • Grow current accounts by identifying and closing up-sell opportunities by understanding core client business needs
  • Acquire, develop, and close new agency relationships to use the platform
  • Understand competitive differentiators in a dynamic online advertising landscape
  • Work with the product team to help share customer insights to craft our product
  • Collaborate with the trading and account management teams to up-sell clients
Who you are:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-4+ years of outbound sales experience
  • Relationships with advertising agencies, media buyers and technology decision-makers in the Central Region is not required but helpful
  • Strong quantitative skills and negotiation ability
  • Self-starter - able to tackle new clients or territories with little mentorship
  • Agile learner - able to rapidly grasp new technology and product changes
  • Able to travel 1-2x per month, including overnight travel
  • Strong experience prospecting new accounts
  • Experience managing longer sales cycles with multiple partners
  • Comfortable working with several different teams inside the organization to collaborate and grow an account
  • Established record of exceeding revenue expectations, hunting, and winning net new business
