Job Title: Account Director, Government Sales

Reports to: Director, Government Sales

Status: Full-Time/Exempt

Location: Florida

Position Summary:

The Account Director, Government Sales, is responsible for the following:

Job Description:

· Strategic Account Management: Oversee a designated portfolio of customers, providing strategic account management and financial sales leadership.

· Business Development: Cultivate new business within a specified set of leads and opportunities.

· Account Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive account strategies for specific named accounts, emphasizing revenue growth and retention of existing services.

· Customer Relationship Management: Focus on reducing churn and write-downs through effective customer relationship management and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

· Revenue and Retention Goals: Consistently achieve annual revenue and customer retention targets, exceeding the end-to-end experience expectations of enterprise customers.

· Sales and Service Management: Oversee the execution and delivery of sales and services to local and regional accounts within the enterprise and mid-market segments.

· Sales Quota Achievement: Meet or surpass monthly sales quotas by identifying and closing additional sales and revenue opportunities.

· New Customer Acquisition: Generate and secure sales and revenue opportunities with new customers using assigned leads and opportunities.

· Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with customers to understand their evolving business needs and identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and new product growth.

· Billing and Business Reviews: Conduct regular bill reviews with all customers and quarterly business reviews (QBR) with key customers.

· Contract Renewals: Renew customer contracts to maintain and grow existing revenue streams.

· Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products, services, pricing practices, and sales techniques to ensure effective positioning and alignment with assigned accounts.

· Solution Delivery: Propose and deliver solutions that meet the needs of assigned customers, leveraging the company's product portfolio.

· Performance Monitoring: Monitor customer usage and performance of connected products and services to identify and address vulnerabilities and opportunities proactively.

· Issue Resolution: Act as the primary escalation point for customer issues, coordinating with internal teams to ensure effective resolution.

· Collaborative Strategy Development: Work with Sales, Finance, and Operations leadership to develop specific account management plans and an overall strategy to optimize sales and retention opportunities.

· Cross-Functional Relationships: Build and lead cross-functional relationships with support groups, including Construction, Project Management, and Installation, to ensure timely sales progression to installation.

· Project Management: Escalate issues to keep projects on track and develop plans for delayed projects.

· Executive Sales: Position and sell company services at multiple organizational levels, including C-level and executive personnel.

· Revenue and Forecast Management: Manage existing revenue, sales opportunities, quotas, funnels, and forecasts in alignment with the company's sales, service, and operational goals.

· Independent Judgment: Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.

· Work Flexibility: Ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as needed.

· Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

· Customer Experience Ownership: Prioritize the customer experience by acting in ways that put customers first, offering seamless digital options at every touchpoint, and fostering customer advocacy for the company's products and services.

Job Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

· Excellent written and oral communication skills a must

· Minimum 5 years previous sales in telecommunications

· Minimum 5 years previous experience working in the Government & Education segment

· Must have a strong technical background specifically in telecommunications

· Travel as needed

· Strong computer skills and tools required for project management

· Must be able to pass criminal, MVR, and drug testing

· Must keep current auto insurance with 250,000/500,000 coverage at all times throughout employment and provide such proof of such insurance to Human Resources annually
