ROLE DESCRIPTION

Patel Insurance Agency is seeking a motivated, relationship-focused Account Associate to join our growing team in Brooklyn, OH. This sales-focused role centers on acquiring new customers and helping existing customers identify coverage gaps, with an emphasis on life and health insurance conversations.

You'll have access to 25 agency-paid leads each week from individuals who have requested an insurance quote, along with an existing book of approximately 3,400 households. This is an opportunity to build relationships, help protect families, and grow your income through your sales performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contact new leads promptly, follow up consistently, and convert quote requests into new business.
• Conduct needs-based reviews and recommend appropriate insurance and financial products, including whole life, term life, universal life, short- and long-term disability, umbrella, home, auto, and retirement solutions.
• Build relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities to expand their coverage.
• Handle customer service calls, representing approximately 10% of your time, and use those conversations to identify additional needs.
• Assist customers with initiating claims and making policy changes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in sales, banking, retail, hospitality, or customer service preferred; insurance experience is a plus but is not required.
• Strong communication skills and an interest in helping individuals and families protect what matters most.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to follow through with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working in a sales and new customer acquisition role where earnings reflect sales performance.
• Able and willing to obtain the required Ohio Property, Casualty, Life, and Health insurance licenses.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $40,000 annual base salary plus commission.
• Typical first-year commission earnings of approximately $30,000, for approximately $70,000 in total annual compensation.
• Top performers earn up to $50,000 in commission, for approximately $90,000 in total annual compensation.
• Agency-paid pre-licensing classes and exam fees.
• $1,000 bonus for each qualifying license obtained before starting full-time, up to $4,000 for Life, Health, Property, and Casualty.
• Future sponsorship for securities licensing to expand into variable products.
• Health insurance with 50% of the premium paid by the agency.
• Group life insurance and retirement benefits.
• 12 days of paid time off beginning in year one.
• Career growth toward a senior producer role or the State Farm agent track, depending on your goals.

SCHEDULE & LOCATION

• Hybrid schedule three days in our Brooklyn, OH office and two days working from home.

LICENSING

Not licensed yet? We cover your pre-licensing classes and exam fees. You will have 60 days after signing your offer letter to complete the required licensing classes and exams before beginning full-time work in our office. Qualifying licensing bonuses are paid when you begin full-time employment.
