Job summary

Aperture is seeking a Forensic Expert – Accident Reconstruction Expert in Houston, TX. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to reconstruct diverse accidents, analyze data, and create replica scenes to support theories of causation and injuries.

You will use 3D laser scanners, arial drones, and data from ECM vehicles to determine speeds, stopping distances, and mechanical failures. Field investigations with travel up to 75% are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience reconstructing injury-producing incidents to evaluate mechanisms and liability.
• Experience with dynamic testing, data collection or data analysis.
• Technical writing abilities.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other office software.

Responsibilities

• Investigate vehicles and conduct scene field investigations for a variety of accidents.
• Collect and analyze information for forensic analysis, simulation and testing.
• Utilize 3D scanning, drones, and mapping equipment to collect evidence.
• Photograph scene evidence and measure roadway and vehicle positions.
• Prepare models/replicas of accident scenes with measurements and positions.
• Communicate technical findings in lay terms to clients and, if needed, provide expert testimony.
