Job summary
Aperture is seeking a Forensic Expert – Accident Reconstruction Expert to join a multi-disciplinary team. You will analyze accidents, compute forces, and reconstruct scenes using 3D scanning and data from vehicle ECMS to determine speeds, stopping distances, and liability.
You may testify and contribute to technical reports for depositions and trials. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in accident reconstruction, strong technical writing, and the ability to communicate complex results to
Qualifications
- College degree in engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience reconstructing and analyzing injury producing incidents.
- Experience with dynamic testing, data collection or data analysis.
- Technical writing abilities.
- Proficient with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and related programs.
Responsibilities
- Investigate vehicles and conduct scene field investigations for a variety of accidents.
- Collect and analyze information for sound forensic analysis, simulation and testing.
- Perform inspections using 3D scanning tech and collect data, including CDR from ECM.
- Utilize 3D laser scanners, arial drones, and mapping equipment to measure evidence.
- Prepare models/replicas of accident scenes with measurements and positions.
- Communicate technical findings in lay terms to clients and may provide testimony.
