Job summary

Koniag Advisory and Business Solutions, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, seeks a Mid-Level Accessibility (508) Developer to support government customers in Washington, DC. The role is hybrid, requiring 1 day onsite and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on frontend and accessibility testing experience, knowledge of WCAG 2.x and 508, and will work with senior engineers to deliver compliant digital services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of front-end development, accessibility testing, or digital quality assurance.
• Hands-on experience implementing or testing web accessibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and remediate user interfaces to meet Section 508, WCAG 2.x, and accessible coding expectations.
• Fix accessibility issues related to semantic structure, labels, keyboard operation, focus order, forms, and color contrast.
• Conduct accessibility checks using automated tools and manual keyboard testing under senior guidance.
• Support accessibility defect triage, remediation verification, and release readiness reviews.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, designers, and product owners to embed accessibility in delivery.
• Support accessible document, dashboard, and platform workflow remediation where needed.
• Maintain notes, test results, and remediation evidence for compliance tracking.
