Job summary

Dallas College seeks a Senior Manager, Accessibility to interpret and apply ADA/504 regulations and college policies to accommodate students with disabilities. The role collaborates with Academic departments, Admissions, Student Life, IT, and Academic Affairs to support student success.

Responsibilities include directing interpreters, CART, and captioners, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring high-quality services. A strong knowledge of accessibility laws and effective communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of contemporary issues in higher education.
• Ability to handle confidential information about students and staff.
• Experience collaborating with diverse communities.
• Knowledge of ADA and accessibility laws.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with student development theories and practices.
• Experience in program assessment and guideline development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop goals and objectives for staff interpreters.
• Coordinate scheduling of CART and Sign Language Interpreters.
• Evaluate interpreters and CART captioners.
• Assist with hiring and contracting interpreters.
• Monitor budgets and prepare monthly reports.
• Provide awareness training on Deaf culture and accessibility.
• Maintain relationships with national organizations to stay updated.
• Complete required Dallas College professional development hours.
