Job summary

GCI Incorporated seeks an experienced Web Accessibility Specialist to lead testing and remediation across web and software products. You will ensure compliance with Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA, and FAR 39.2, and collaborate with design, development, and product teams to drive accessible solutions.

Responsibilities include reviewing wireframes and design systems, performing screen reader tests, and delivering concrete remediation guidance and pass/fail sign-offs throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Experience with accessibility testing and remediation.
• Ability to document compliance findings and recommendations.
• Experience with 508, WCAG 2.1 AA, and FAR 39.2 standards.
• Experience with assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
• Ability to coordinate between design, engineering and product stakeholders.
• Experience delivering training on accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all ICT products comply with 508, WCAG 2.1 AA, and FAR 39.2.
• Provide end-to-end accessibility expertise across the SDLC.
• Review design artifacts for typography, contrast, and responsiveness.
• Establish accessibility guidelines within the customer design system.
• Perform automated and manual accessibility testing.
• Provide remediation specs and pass/fail sign-offs.
• Deliver actionable bug tickets with WCAG criteria.
• Develop reference architecture for accessibility adoption.
