Job summary

The University of North Georgia seeks an Accessibility Assistant Institutional Student Worker to support accessibility remediation for UNG Press titles on the Dahlonega campus. This role requires in-office hours at the Press office and reports to the Director and the Marketing and Content Manager.

You will perform checks on PDFs, slides, and Word documents, create alt text, format tables for accessibility, and ensure proper reading order and headings.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled at UNG in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
  • High school diploma/GED
  • No prior experience is required, though coursework or some experience in English, editing, publishing, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The University of North Georgia Press is currently accepting applications for an accessibility assistant. The Accessibility Assistant supports the accessibility remediation of UNG Press titles under the direction of the Director and the Marketing and Content Manager. This position requires in-office hours at the Press's office on the Dahlonega campus. Accessibility training will be provided by the Director.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
