Job description

Position Summary

To support patients within the assigned Outpatient Care Center (Infusion & Lab or Radiation Oncology) by providing a variety of services such as registration, preregistration, scheduling, admitting, database management, information processing, patient/department support, referrals to Patient Financial Advocates, verifying authorizations, verifying medical necessity, and verifying consents. He/she works in conjunction with other health care professionals to evaluate and address the needs of patients served to ensure timely access to services needed and coordinate care.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of formal business/medical training preferred.
• Completion of BA training program required.

Experience

Two to five years of related experience required.

Skills

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to calculate, use of Excel spreadsheets and Word processing is required.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable operating system, procedures, policies and tasks.
• Comprehensive written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Demonstrates professional and courteous behavior.
