FlyLock Security Solutions Oakland is seeking an Access Control Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot access and video systems for commercial and residential sites. The role emphasizes hands-on technical work with a focus on learning new methods and techniques, collaboration with sales, and ensuring project timelines are met.

Ideal candidates bring locksmithing knowledge, minimum two years of field security experience, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in security solutions, access control, door hardware, and skilled trades.
• Ability to inspect, install, and service commercial/residential access and video systems.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of access/video systems including programming and testing.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, installs, and services basic and complex access and video systems.
• Performs advanced troubleshooting and repair of access and video systems.
• Instructs customers in operation and features of installed systems.
• Responds to customer questions and requests and suggests corrective services.
• Acts as onsite project lead to meet timelines and coordinate with sales.
• Maintains accurate records of inspections, service calls, and paperwork.
• Takes ownership from initial walk-through to final hand-off and service.
• Oversees lead technicians, technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors.
