Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking an Access Control Officer (ACO) to protect personnel, facilities, and sensitive information through comprehensive security operations. You will manage access, verify credentials, and maintain logs to ensure controlled areas remain secure.

The role requires operating physical and electronic security systems, responding to events, and following post orders, SOPs, and government guidelines to ensure safe and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in access control and security operations.
• Proficiency with security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control).
• Hands-on with X-ray or metal detection equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and authenticate access for employees, contractors, visitors, and other authorized personnel in restricted areas.
• Verify identification, badges, credentials, and access authorization prior to permitting access.
• Prevent unauthorized personnel and prohibited items from entering or leaving facilities.
• Maintain surveillance and situational awareness in assigned access control areas.
• Conduct inspections of personnel and items per Post Orders and security guidelines.
• Document and escalate suspicious activity or security violations per protocols.
• Deliver professional customer service while adhering to security regulations.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders including Government officials and security teams.
• Operate independently while coordinating with supervisors and support staff.
• Screen, verify, and process visitors; issue badges and CACs as required.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs and access records; ensure data security.
