Job summary

Allied Universal in Boise, ID seeks a Security Officer - Full Time Access Control to help protect people and property. You will manage visitor and employee access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and respond to security concerns at an industrial location.

This role requires strong customer service, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The position offers a daytime shift schedule Thursday through Saturday with pay at $18.00 per hour and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors, and maintain access records.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, perimeter areas, construction zones, and storage locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and leadership regarding access-control concerns.
