Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer - Access Control in Van Buren Twp, MI. You will serve and safeguard clients across logistics and distribution, conduct routine unarmed patrols, and manage access control to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license per policy.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws; driving positions require license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of warehouse areas and perimeters to identify hazards.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and direct drivers, visitors, and contractors.
• Respond calmly to incidents and document observations and actions taken.
• Prepare reports and communicate security concerns to site leadership.
