Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer – Access Control Booth in York, PA. You will welcome visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor entry points, and respond to alarms at a Manufacturing and Distribution site as part of a dedicated team.

This full-time role offers $16.50 per hour and a schedule including day and night shifts, with benefits like retirement savings and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 years for armed roles.
• Background investigations required by law.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff and contractors following access control procedures.
• Control entry and exit points by checking credentials and issuing visitor passes.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems and report issues.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document notifications and incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized access.
