Job summary

Allied Universal in Shelby, MI is seeking a Security Officer Access Control to protect personnel and visitors at a food and beverage location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors.

The role requires 18+ (21+ for armed), HS diploma, background check, drug screen, and valid license where applicable. This is a full-time, hourly position with shift scheduling in the evenings.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Background history considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers per site security procedures.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying IDs and credentials.
• Maintain and issue visitor credentials and records per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate observations to leadership.
• Conduct patrols of access points and report unusual conditions.
