Allied Universal in Shelby, MI is seeking a Security Officer Access Control to protect employees, visitors and contractors at a food and beverage production site. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law at all levels.
• Qualified applications with criminal histories will be considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, visitor authorization, delivery appointments, and contractor credentials per site requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, contractor, and vehicle entry records; issue and collect visitor credentials as directed by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally; promptly communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and other designated areas; report unusual conditions, damaged barriers, and policy violations.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
