Job summary

Allied Universal in North Bergen, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Credential Records to manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and provide customer service at an automotive location, ensuring a safe environment for employees, visitors, and operations.

The role requires at least 2 years of security experience, a guard license preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• State/county/city security license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and logging visitors/ contractors.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site contacts and leadership.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, parking areas, facilities, and perimeters to deter unauthorized access.
• Document incidents and access-control transactions and communicate during shift handoffs.
