Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Access Control Credential Intake in New York, NY to monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols, ensuring a secure environment while delivering customer service. This full-time role requires a TSA-issued TWIC, high school diploma or equivalent, background checks, and a drug screen.

On-site night/weekend shifts apply; driving positions may require a valid license.

Qualifications

• TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Background checks will be conducted per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screening is a condition of employment.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Age 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed) where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor entry procedures, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations and elevate concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized activity or potential hazards.
• Support the continuity of utility operations by following post orders, documenting daily activities, and coordinating with site representatives and emergency responders as directed.
