Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time) in Elwood, IL. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and perform routine patrols to deter incidents at a logistics and distribution site.

You'll deliver excellent customer service, follow site procedures, and support a team that values integrity and innovative security solutions.

Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as permitted by law.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
Monitor access points, verify visitor, vendor, and employee authorization, and maintain access-control records.
Respond to incidents calmly and escalate as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
Assist with the orderly movement of personnel and vehicles at entry and exit points.
