Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as permitted by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Full Time Authorization Review in Elwood, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thu 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor, vendor, and employee authorization, and maintain accurate access-control records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Assist with the orderly movement of personnel and vehicles at entry and exit points while following site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
