Job summary

DCM Inc. is seeking an Access Control Associate to protect property, employees, and visitors on-site. You will monitor activities, handle security reports, and coordinate with management and local authorities.

The role requires a strong presence, alertness, and the ability to work a Monday–Friday shift from 3pm to 11pm. Responsibilities include patrolling, CCTV monitoring, escorting vendors, and assisting in emergency drills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of security-related work experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Security Guard training certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrols and monitors company premises to deter crime and maintain safety.
• Reports suspicious activity to management and notifies staff.
• Monitor CCTV systems and respond to incidents.
• Escort vendors entering the building and assist in emergencies.
• Assist local law enforcement and fire officials during drills and incidents.
• Detain individuals suspected of crime until law enforcement arrives.
• Perform back-up delivery duties if needed.

Access Control Associate

Our Access Control Associate will protect company property as well as employees and visitors from possible criminal activity. This position is also responsible for providing security procedures to employees of DCM Inc.

Your role in caring for our company:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Patrols and monitors activities on the company's premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure.
• Reports suspicious activity to General Manager and ensures appropriate staff are notified in a timely manner.
• Ensures constant contact with General Manager and other Access Control Associates and responds to emergency calls immediately.
• Escorting vendors entering the building.
• Assists fire and police officials with safety drills and/or emergency situations.
• Monitors CCTV systems for suspicious activity throughout the facility.
• Provides detailed reports on daily activities and incidents to management.
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in the event of an emergency.
• After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.
• Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.
• Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
• Act as back-up delivery driver as needed.
• All other duties as necessary.

Qualifications we ask you to have:

• For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
• We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.
• We ask that you have at least three (3) years of previous security-related work experience.
• We ask that you have a valid driver's license.
• Having a Security Guard training certification is preferred.

Work Schedule/Location:

• On-site 5 days a week.
