Job summary

DCM Inc. is seeking an Access Control Associate to protect company property and staff across MD/DC markets. The role involves patrolling, CCTV monitoring, reporting incidents, and supporting emergency responses, with after-hours security duties.

The position requires 21+, a high school diploma, 3 years security experience, a valid license, and possible security training. On-site five days a week with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Patrols and monitors premises to deter crime and ensure safety.
• Reports suspicious activity to the General Manager and notifies staff promptly.
• Remains in contact with General Manager and other Access Control Associates; responds to emergencies.
• Escorts vendors entering the building and assists with safety drills.
• Monitors CCTV systems and provides detailed daily activity reports to management.
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in emergencies.
• Checks doors, windows, and gates after business hours to secure property.
• Detains individuals suspected of crime until law enforcement arrives.
• Back-up delivery driver as needed.

The shift for this role is Monday through Friday 3pm - 11pm Medical and recreational cannabis grower on the East Coast. Our mission is simple: grow the highest-quality weed at prices everyone can afford.

Access Control Associate

Our Access Control Associate will protect company property as well as employees and visitors from possible criminal activity. This position is also responsible for providing security procedures to employees of DCM Inc.

Your role in caring for our company:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Patrols and monitors activities on the company's premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure.
• Reports suspicious activity to General Manager and ensures appropriate staff are notified in a timely manner.
• Ensures constant contact with General Manager and other Access Control Associates and responds to emergency calls immediately.
• Escorting vendors entering the building.
• Assists fire and police officials with safety drills and/or emergency situations.
• Monitors CCTV systems for suspicious activity throughout the facility.
• Provides detailed reports on daily activities and incidents to management.
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in the event of an emergency.
• After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.
• Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.
• Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
• Act as back- up delivery driver as needed.
• All other duties as necessary.

Qualifications we ask you to have:

• For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
• We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.
• We ask that you have at least three (3) years of previous security-related work experience.
• We ask that you have a valid driver's license
• Having a Security Guard training certification is preferred.

Work Schedule/Location:

• On-site 5 days a week.
