Job summary

SolutionHealth's Elliot Health System Access Center is hiring an Access Center Coordinator to handle incoming calls and online requests for patient scheduling across multiple practices. You will coordinate registrations, ensure data accuracy in Epic, and triage calls to connect patients with the right care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2 years in healthcare or call center environments, and proven customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years healthcare experience or 2 years in a contact center environment.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Experience specifically in a contact/call center environment is preferred.
• Ability to handle a high volume of calls in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and coordinate registration and scheduling for new patient appointments.
• Document patient demographic, medical, financial, and referral information in Epic per compliance.
• Triage incoming calls and handle professionally.
• Obtain all patient information required by providers prior to appointments.
• Keep supervisor informed of issues affecting departmental interactions within the health system.

About the Job:

Our Access Center Coordinator’s receive incoming phone calls and online requests from both patients and referring providers for multiple Practices, Specialties and departments interested in accessing care at Elliot Health System. The key role of the Patient Assistant Coordinator is to ensure that patients, referring providers and other customers receive timely, efficient, and high-quality service.

What You’ll Do:

• Initiate and coordinate registration and scheduling for new patient appointments.
• Documents all patient demographic, medical, financial, and referral information into Epic within compliance
• Triage incoming calls, and handle professionally
• Obtains all patient information required by the providers prior to an appointment
• Keeps supervisor informed of issues, especially as they relate to the interaction of the department with other areas of the Health System

Who You Are:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of Health Care experience, or 2 years of contact center environment type of work,
• Required Prior customer service work experience
• Required Specifically, in a contact/call center environment
• Ability to handle a high volume of calls and work in a fast-paced environment
• Epic Experience, Preferred
