Job summary

Children's Hospital Los Angeles is seeking an Access Center Coordinator to support the Access Center operations, managing inbound/outbound calls, coordinating data collection from transferring parties, and ensuring accurate data entry in key systems.

The role requires 2 years in a health care setting, familiarity with hospital front office insurance processes, and a high school diploma (college degree preferred). Hours are Monday–Friday, day shift.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of inbound/outbound calls in the Access Center.
  • Assist with patient financial clearance.
  • Coordinate collection of intake data from transferring parties; perform data entry.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities in pertinent systems (Tele-tracking, Central Logic, STAR, CareAware).
  • Perform ongoing reconciliation and data quality checks.

Purpose Statement/Position Summary

The Access Center Coordinator is responsible for providing support of the Access Center operations. This includes supporting the management of inbound/outbound calls, assisting with patient financial clearance, coordinating collection of intake data from transferring parties, data entry, and quality assurance activities. The coordinator also performs ongoing reconciliation and quality assurance of data in pertinent systems (Tele-tracking, Central Logic, STAR, CareAware, etc.)


Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience

2 years' experience in health care environment, familiar with medical front office insurance processes. Outpatient registration and/or hospital admitting experience preferred.


Education/Licensure/Certification

High school diploma required, college degree preferred.


Pay Scale Information

$47,840.00-$59,696.00
