Job summary

Rochester Regional Health’s Clifton Springs Hospital is seeking an Access Associate in the Dental department. This full-time role (40 hours/week) runs 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday with every other weekend.

You will be the first point of contact, greeting patients, handling check-in/check-out, and guiding them through the payment process. Ideal candidates have a two-year degree (or equivalent), solid computer skills, and excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Summary

As an Access Associate, you will be responsible for many administrative support duties, such as greeting patients, performing check-in and check-out procedures and processing payments. This position requires a warm and inviting disposition, as you will be the first point of contact for our patients and their families.

• Registration & Verification. Complete the registration process for patients as defined by departmental policy; verify insurance eligibility/coverage and obtain necessary precertification/authorization when applicable
• Billing & Payments. Collect and process payments when applicable

Physical Requirements

Sedentary - Sedentary roles are primarily office-based and require prolonged sitting (67–100% of the workday) with minimal physical effort and lifting limited to under 10 lbs. Fine motor skills are necessary for computer work, writing, and telephone use, supported by clear visual and auditory ability. Cognitive and emotional demands are high due to extended concentration, frequent interruptions, independent decision-making, and information processing. Although physical exposure is low, administrative areas within healthcare environments may occasionally involve contact with infectious agents. Some roles may require flexible hours, TB screening, or a valid driver’s license.

The posted pay range is a good faith representation of potential base pay for this position. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
