Job summary

VOALA is seeking an Academic Tutor to support after-school tutoring and enrichment activities in Math, English and Science. You will develop targeted lesson plans, run small-group sessions, and help students prepare for college through workshops and guidance.

Responsibilities include maintaining progress logs, coordinating daily tutoring, and delivering engaging activities in a supportive, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Provide tutoring in Math, English, Science and related subjects.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with California Content Standards.
• Lead college prep and enrichment workshops as needed.
• Maintain tutoring logs and submit monthly reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions to help participants master academic material.
• Coordinate daily homework assistance and tutoring program.
• Develop lessons aligned with California Content Standards.
• Prepare classroom materials for daily activities.
• Monitor tutoring resources and progress, supervise sessions.
• Present workshops on college, careers and financial literacy.
