Job summary

Qualifications

• MD/MD-PhD or equivalent degree.
• ABP board certification in AP/CP or CP or hematology/oncology.
• Certification or eligibility in Transfusion Medicine.
• Full, unrestricted Virginia medical licensure.
• A record of scholarly publications.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: act as Transfusion Medicine/Apheresis attending and provide medical oversight of blood bank services.
• Service: participate in departmental, institutional, and national committees as needed.
• Teaching: engage in didactic lectures, rounds, seminars, and trainee education in transfusion medicine.
• Research: contribute to clinical research and scholarly activity.
