Job summary

WVU Medicine seeks a General Thoracic Surgeon to join the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute in Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate will practice with a strong focus on teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and may have duties at additional sites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania as needed.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and eligible for state medical license
• Completed general surgery residency and cardiothoracic fellowship
• Board-certified or board-eligible in thoracic surgery
• Competency in minimally invasive lung and esophageal surgery

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care within WVU Medicine Thoracic and Esophageal Surgery Program.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Collaborate with the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute and Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.
