Job summary

The West Virginia University Health System seeks a General Thoracic Surgeon for Butler, PA, with ranks as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The successful candidate will practice in Butler, PA and may be assigned to additional sites in WV, MD, or PA with travel as needed.

Ideal candidates will have competency in minimally invasive lung and esophageal surgery and will contribute to teaching students, residents, and fellows as part of the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute and

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Eligibility for state medical license.
• Completion of general surgery residency and cardiothoracic fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Provide thoracic surgery care with emphasis on minimally invasive techniques.
• Collaborate within WVU Heart and Vascular Institute and Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.

Education

MD or DO degree

Cardiothoracic surgery fellowship

Board-certified or board-eligible in thoracic surgery
