Job summary

City University of New York's Queensborough College seeks an IT Academic Applications Specialist to administer and support academic technology applications, including Brightspace LMS and the Digication ePortfolio. You will enhance teaching and student success through training, configuration, and integration of instructional tools.

Reporting to the Director of Educational Technology, you will collaborate with faculty, staff, IT, and vendors, monitor performance and accessibility, and contribute

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and four years' relevant experience required.
• Experience supporting online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced courses.
• Familiarity with Brightspace, Zoom, Panopto, and related academic technology tools.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA, WCAG) and inclusive tech.

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and maintain academic technology applications and platforms, including Brightspace LMS and Digication.
• Provide technical consultation and support to faculty and staff for effective use of academic technology.
• Coordinate implementation, configuration, testing, and ongoing support of academic tech and integrations.
• Develop and deliver training, workshops, documentation, and other resources.
• Collaborate with faculty, IT, CUNY, and vendors to resolve issues and support initiatives.
• Monitor performance, updates, and vendor releases; coordinate resolutions.
• Support accessibility initiatives and inclusive technology solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions for teaching and learning.
