Job summary

The City University of New York is seeking a Blackboard Administrator to oversee their Learning Management System. This role includes user support, troubleshooting, and collaboration with vendors across all 24 colleges to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience with Blackboard or other Learning Management Systems.
• Experience with Blackboard Content Management Software (CMS).
• Familiarity with multi‑computer application platforms such as UNIX/Linux, Windows, and Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Perform Blackboard maintenance and optimization.
• Interface with college Blackboard Administrators and Service Desks.
• Collaborate with support personnel to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Prepare and execute test plans for Blackboard functionalities.
• Monitor batch interfaces and support third-party software.
• Collaborate on Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning.
• Prepare data for system efficiency analysis.
• Serve as a technical resource for Blackboard LMS.
