Job summary

MaineHealth in Portland, ME, seeks a fellowship-trained, full-time surgical oncologist to join a large, established team within the Division of Surgical Oncology. The role includes teaching residents and medical students, and active participation in multidisciplinary oncology care.

The successful candidate will contribute to clinical and translational research efforts, with an academic appointment through Tufts University School of Medicine.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified or eligible in general surgery.
• Completion of a Society of Surgical Oncology-accredited fellowship or board certification in Surgical Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Join the Division of Surgical Oncology, Section of General Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery.
• Teach and mentor residents and medical students.
• Provide collaborative care in a multidisciplinary team with medical, radiation, and surgical oncology.
• Engage in clinical and translational research within the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network.
