The University of Kansas is seeking an Academic Success Student Navigator to assist students through outreach and case management, supporting early engagement and motivation for excellence. This hourly role focuses on documenting outreach, coordinating with campus resources, and acting as a referral and accountability partner to promote completion of introductory coursework.
Eligible undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in at least 6 credit hours may apply.
The Academic Success Student Navigator is dedicated to the mission of providing high quality, student-to-student interactions focused on early student engagement while increasing student motivation for excellence at KU. This position will serve students directly and act as a referral agent to other units and departments as needed. The goal of the position is to ensure students have an advocate and accountability partner to increase student completion within introduction coursework at KU.
Other duties as assigned by AVP, Director, Supervisor, etc.
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or be pre-enrolled in upcoming Spring semester in no less than 6 hours. Student hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments
(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
(2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
