Job summary

Indian River State College seeks an Academic Coordinator to provide counseling and oversight of Educational Talent Search (ETS) programs. You will develop workshops, prepare reports, and maintain student records, while supervising ETS instructors, tutors, and mentors across multiple campuses.

You will coordinate field trips, assist with college admissions, and support recruitment efforts, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines and program objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related area.
• Two years minimum experience with federal grant programs serving low-income and potential first-generation college-bound students.
• Knowledge of academic advising, college financial aid, EDGAR compliance, and OMB Circular A-21.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all aspects of assigned academic programs to ensure alignment with goals and compliance with program guidelines.
• Coordinate logistics related to student transportation, facility use, and equipment for events and activities.
• Collect, manage, and analyze program data using digital tools to track performance and outcomes.
• Develop and facilitate college preparatory workshops for students and parents.
• Advise students on middle school, high school, and college academic pathways to ensure successful transitions.
• Oversee mentoring services and after-school tutorials for participating students.
