Indian River State College in Port Saint Lucie, FL seeks an Academic Advisor to guide applicants from admission through completion. You’ll create Student Success Plans, assist with registration, financial aid, and degree planning, and collaborate with faculty and staff to support student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to education and/or student services.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of related work experience in student services or advising.
• Knowledge of student services and enrollment processes.

Responsibilities

• Guides assigned caseload of students with program planning and enrollment information.
• Completes individualized Student Success Plans for every student.
• Assists with registration, financial aid, and billing issues; monitors progression toward completion.
• Provides support for educational and career goals; reaches out to students who are falling behind.
• Assists with recruitment activities and off-site registrations when needed.
• Greet walk-in students and support use of social media for communication.
