Job summary

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree required with two years’ college instructional experience.
• Ability to use Academic Coaching best practices and appropriate materials for delivering coaching strategies.
• Strong written, oral, and technological communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Builds one-on-one coaching relationships with students through individual or group sessions to assess performance and develop academic goals and study plans.
• Guides students to set short-term goals and develop problem-solving skills.
• Maintain regular communication with students through in-person, virtual, email, or group workshops.
• Connects students to academic support services and resources (e.g., tutoring, Writing Desk, Accessibility Resources).
• Strengthens connections between students and the college to boost persistence and retention.
• Share study techniques, note-taking methods, test prep, and stress management strategies.
• Maintain records of student interactions and progress in accordance with FERPA, providing insights to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
